Stuart joined the firm as a manager in 2002 and has worked in our London, Bishops Stortford and Cambridge offices. He has spent time in both the corporate team and, since 2012 in the business team. In 2022 he was appointed as Head of Department for our payroll team. Stuart is responsible for the running of the payroll team and of the services we provide to our payroll clients. He is also on the firms’ Operations Board. Stuart also looks after predominately owner-managed businesses within the business team, across a number of our offices. A large number of the clients that Stuart has won over the years are still clients today, which demonstrates how he looks to build rapport and learn about his clients, earning their trust and respect.
Stuart spent many years as a team leader and has developed a diverse soft skills set, including being one of our qualified coaches, attaining the ILM level 5 certificate in coaching and mentoring. Stuart works out of various offices. He works closely with the payroll team in Cambridge and Norwich and with the business teams in our Cambridge, Bishops Stortford and City of London offices, helping them to deliver the services to our clients, and growing the payroll and business team client base.
Outside of work Stuart enjoys nothing more than spending time with his family and friends and walking their dog. He has a passion for gin with over 25 different bottles in a growing collection. He also enjoys watching football (he is an avid Arsenal fan) and, more recently, rugby union as well (where he follows the Bristol Bears), although Stuart admits that he still doesn’t fully understand the laws of the latter!
