Transaction Services Team of the year
Stephen Reed, Corporate Finance Partner, comments on the teams Transactions Services award,
So incredibly proud of Price Bailey’s Transaction Services team for picking up the Insider Dealmakers Award for ‘TS Team of the Year’ last night. It’s been another year of tremendous collective effort, drawing resource from across a large swathe of our Strategic Corporate Finance team at times, in delivering an amazing array of diligence reporting projects for wide ranging clients across the entire spectrum. I’m proud of the whole team and delighted to see their combined efforts recognised in this way, which is a sign of the progress we’ve made these past few years. Onwards and upwards and, with Mohammed Imran having recently joined the team as TS Director, I fully expect the team to continue to flourish. Well done!
The Price Bailey team worked on over 15 projects during the qualifying period, across a wide range of sectors, including facilities management, retail property and net zero energy Management. The judges noted that the team has increased its vendor due diligence services and has built up both its marketing collateral and training to better take advantage of this.
Dealmaker of the year
Phil Sharpe comments on his success in being awarded Dealmaker of the year,
The team had a stunning evening at Deal Makers, collecting 3 awards. Personally I was very pleased to be awarded Deal Maker of the Year, it’s only taken me 27 years! I was also delighted to see Eleanor collect Emerging Deal Maker of the Year and for the team to be awarded Transaction Services Team of the Year. The hat trick of awards is a reflection of the hard work everyone has put in over the past year. We have a fantastic team which I am proud to be a member of. Hopefully this will lead to more opportunities to work with great clients on great projects.
Phil has had an outstanding year, leading on a number of regional deals that have brought great results for his clients. He has a large network of colleagues, clients and contacts, bringing deals to fruition from within the region. This body of work, together with Phil’s commitment to motivating his team and to improving their skills, set him apart, according to the judges. Having joined Price Bailey 4.5 years ago, Phil’s wealth of industry experience has been a great asset to the team.
Emerging Dealmaker of the year
Eleanor commented upon winning the award:
It was wonderful to win the Emerging Dealmaker of the Year award, particularly given the high calibre of the other professionals shortlisted. I very much enjoy working with such a committed and enthusiastic team here at Price Bailey. As a firm, it’s great to see our dedication and hard work over the last year recognised at the Insider Dealmakers Awards.
Eleanor has been with Price Bailey since 2015, after joining as a graduate. Upon gaining experience in both our Corporate and Business departments, Eleanor joined the Corporate Finance team in April 2018, and now specialises in company valuations and forensic accounting and leads the valuation and employee ownership trust work within the team. She advised on five EOT and MBO transactions in the qualifying period, with a combined value of over £160m. The judges also noted Eleanor’s work in bringing members of the corporate finance and tax teams together in the quarterly “Lunch and Learning” sessions.
All of the Partners are very proud to see Eleanor be named Emerging Dealmaker of the Year. She is a wonderful, caring and hardworking member of the team who has come up through the ranks via our graduate programme. Eleanor is a key figure in leading some of our most exciting and challenging projects and her peers and clients have always valued her approach; she’s fantastic and it is a proud moment to see her win the award.
